Name: Rosheen

School: Leigh Creek Area School

I had help from some special people. Their names are: My parents (Joanne and Thomas Brown), my Open Access coordinator Julie Kelly, Norma Ellis (photography), the school and my Open Access teachers Fran Aitken, Helen Parry, John Fox, Maria Wight, Annie Reid and Pia Bosco.

The hardest time for me was when: I had to study for my Stage 2 Classical Studies exam and working on a photography assignment with a 60% weighting (these assignments were not at the same time).

The best time for me was: When I would get good marks back from an assignment I worked hard on and completing an extremely hard assignment.

I am enrolled at: UniSA.

I am studying: Journalism

I know that I am a role model for other Aboriginal students in my family and in my community and I am encouraging other students by: Filling out this survey.

Any other comments you would like to make: Year 12 can be very difficult at times, especially at Open Access where you can’t see your teacher, but if you have a supportive team of teachers, peers and coordinators, as well as a good attitude and commitment, then Year 12 can turn out to be quite fun.
